Vivo may soon launch its most special smartphone Vivo X100 Ultra for 2024. Although the brand has not said anything officially, the device was revealed on 3C certification earlier this week, following which the radio certification has now been released in China.

The X100 Ultra was spotted on the 3C certification site with model number V2366GA. This is a required certification for smartphones on the mainland that confirms compliance with national safety and quality standards.

There is also a rumor of a second version of the X100 Ultra with satellite connectivity support. Adding credence to these rumours, the satellite version of the device has now passed radio certification with the V2366HA model number.

The phone will use the Tiantong satellite for communications and with this, the Vivo X100 Ultra will be the company’s first smartphone to support satellite connectivity.

Additionally, the 3C certification suggests that the X100 Ultra will support 80W wired charging. This is surprisingly less than the X100 and X100 Pro, but Digital Chat Station hints at a “larger type” battery in a recent Weibo post. It could possibly be around 5,500 mAh, as previous rumors have indicated.

As Vivo’s final camera offering for 2024, the X100 Ultra is expected to feature Sony’s latest Sony Lytia LYT-900 main sensor and an impressive 100mm (4.3x) 200MP periscope telephoto lens.

It will be powered by a 2024 flagship SoC, although whether it is from MediaTek or Snapdragon is still under debate. This will be complemented by ample RAM and storage. Additionally, rumors suggest that it may use Vivo’s recently unveiled BlueImage branding for its camera technology.

The Vivo X100 Ultra is expected to launch in China sometime in May alongside the X100s and X100s Pro. There are also rumors that the device may be called Vivo X100s Ultra instead of X100 Ultra.
