The father of Gurucharan Singh has filed a complaint with the Delhi police, leading them to open a kidnapping case.
Gurcharan Singh, who became famous by playing the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, has been captured in CCTV. He has been missing since April 22 and Delhi Police has registered a case of kidnapping in this matter.
Actor Gurucharan Singh of the hugely popular Indian sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ fame, who played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi, has been missing for five days.
Delhi Police has now registered a case of kidnapping based on the complaint of Gurucharan Singh’s father.
The actor’s father said in his complaint that his son left for Mumbai from Delhi on Monday, but never reached Mumbai.
It has been said in the complaint that since then his phone is not available.
Gurucharan’s father told the police, “He is mentally stable. We were searching for him, but now we are filing a missing complaint.”
The 50-year-old man was seen crossing the road in footage captured by a security camera installed in Palam area on Monday night.
On Friday, April 26, Harjeet Singh, the father of Gurucharan Singh, reported his son missing to the Palam police station in Delhi. A formal complaint was then filed under section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
On April 22, the actor was scheduled to take a flight from Delhi to Mumbai at 8.30 am. According to police, he did not board the airplane during their preliminary inquiry. Gurcharan Singh’s number, however, remained active until April 24 and was used for a number of transactions.
“His flight was scheduled for 8.30 pm on Monday, but he was spotted at a traffic intersection in Palam around 9.14 pm,” officials stated.
Police said that they are scanning the CCTV footage and investigation into the matter is ongoing.
