Mumbai Police has arrested actor Sahil Khan for his alleged involvement in the Mahadev betting app case. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell arrested Sahil Khan in Chhattisgarh after the Bombay High Court rejected his plea for interim bail.
Sources say Mr Khan had fled from Mumbai and was absconding since the High Court rejected his plea. The actor was arrested after an over 40-hour long operation with the help of the Chhattisgarh Police.He has been brought to Mumbai, where he will be produced before a court, officials said.

Sahil Khan, who has worked in films such as ‘Style’ and ‘Excuse Me’, is also popular as an influencer on social media. The SIT is investigating alleged illegal transactions between some financial and real estate firms in Chhattisgarh and the promoters of the controversial Mahadev betting app.
The Mumbai Police is investigating allegations against 32 people, including Sahil Khan. The Cyber Cell is also examining Sahil Khan’s bank accounts, mobile phones, laptops and other technical devices. Earlier this week, actress Tamannaah Bhatia was summoned in connection with the promotion of a subsidiary app of Mahadev Betting App.
The actress has been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell for allegedly promoting Indian Premier League (IPL) matches on the FairPlay betting app.
The Mahadev betting app hit the headlines last year when actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who appeared in ads for the app, were summoned for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The Mahadev online betting app was operated from Dubai by Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. Both of them are residents of Bhilai in Chhattisgarh.
