Apple iOS 18 New AI features

Bloomberg’s esteemed Apple analyst Mark Gurman posted his latest ‘Power On’ newsletter, discussing Apple’s future plan of action, including the AI features that will be added with the upcoming iOS 18.

It shows how Apple was surprised with its AI features, especially from Google, whose Google I/O 2024 was all about revolutionizing the way we interact with our phones and devices, with AI being the center of attention.

Talking about the AI features in Apple’s iOS 18, these will be released under the name ‘preview’ or ‘beta’, giving Apple time to improve the AI features before they are released. This is especially important, as Google’s disastrous AI overview on Google Search has returned inaccurate results.

Speaking of Apple, the Cupertino-based giant will use a multi-pronged approach, with some features being introduced with on-device handling and processing capabilities, while others will be handled through Apple’s cloud infrastructure. It goes without saying that the earlier AI features will be available for the new device given the conditions required in terms of performance, capabilities, and resources.
