The Enforcement Directorate has filed charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) after taking cognizance of an FIR and chargesheet filed last month by the Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) district police of Uttar Pradesh against him and others linked to him.
The development comes after an FIR and a 1,200-page chargesheet was filed by Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) district police last month. The case has been registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Elvish Yadav suspected of snake venom
In fresh trouble for Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav, the Enforcement Directorate has filed a money laundering case against him and some others. He is accused of suspected use of snake venom for entertainment at parties organised by him.
The investigating agency will soon probe the alleged financial transactions linked to the supply of snake venom to various places, including big hotels, clubs, resorts and farmhouses in Delhi-NCR. The ED will soon question Elvish.

The central agency has filed charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) after taking cognizance of an FIR and chargesheet filed last month by the Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) district police of Uttar Pradesh against him and others linked to him.
The alleged generation of proceeds of crime and use of illegal money for organising rave or recreational parties are under the ED’s scanner.
Elvish Yadav and some others linked to the case will reportedly be questioned as part of the probe. Elvish Yadav was arrested on March 17 by the Noida police in connection with an investigation into the suspected use of snake venom for entertainment at parties.

The 26-year-old YouTuber, who is also the winner of reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, was booked by the Noida police under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Wildlife Protection Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC). Elvish Yadav was among the six people named in the FIR lodged at Sector 49 police station in Noida on November 3 last year on a complaint by a representative of animal rights NGO People for Animals (PFA).

Five other accused, all snake charmers, were arrested in November and later let out on bail by a local court. The five snake charmers were arrested from a banquet hall in Noida on November 3 last year and nine snakes, including five cobras, were rescued from their possession, while 20 ml of suspected snake venom was also seized.
