Apparently Nothing is planning to launch a new smartphone in India soon. Now, a new look at the BIS certification has indicated that this model could be a brand new version of the existing Nothing Phone (2a). So here are all the details.

Nothing Phone (2a) BIS certification
The brand’s upcoming smartphone was spotted on BIS certification with the A142P model number. To recall, the original Nothing Phone (2a) was launched with the A142 model number. So this is likely a new version of the Phone (2a). Unfortunately, this certification did not reveal any other details about this device such as its specs, features, and design. But the BIS listing confirms its Indian availability.
Nothing Phone (2a) Specs
To recall, the Nothing Phone (2a) features a tall 6.72-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. There is also a 32-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calls, while the rear has a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. Under the hood, it packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
Powering this device is a large 5,000mAh battery pack, which supports 45W wired fast charging. This model runs on Android 14 OS out of the box. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, HDR10+, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC.
