The Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone is rumoured to launch this month. The Xiaomi sub-brand is then likely to launch the Redmi K80 series in China. A report earlier this week revealed that the Pro model of the line will feature a 3x telephoto lens and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Redmi K80 Pro Specs
Today, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station confirmed this, saying that the Redmi K80 Pro will indeed come with a 50MP 3x telephoto lens. Furthermore, the tipster revealed that the phone will feature a 2K flat display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.

The tipster had also previously revealed that the phone will include a 5500mAh battery and will support 120W charging. Apart from this, other details about the smartphone are still under wraps. The K80 Pro will be joined by its vanilla sibling Redmi K80. As per previous reports, the standard K80 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Like the Pro model, the K80 is expected to feature a flat OLED screen with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. While the K80 Pro is likely to feature the same telephoto camera as the K70 Pro, it is unclear if the standard K80 will also include a telephoto camera.
Another leaker mentioned that both phones will feature a new design at the back, featuring a new glass material.
Furthermore, a report last month revealed that the Redmi K70E will not have a successor this year, the Redmi K80E. Xiaomi reportedly wants the Redmi K-series to now focus on more premium devices.

Talking about the launch, the Xiaomi 15 series will be the company’s first series to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC and is rumoured to launch in October. The Redmi K80 series is expected to launch in November.
