Samsung Android 16 based One UI 8 Ineligible Device List

No smartphone manufacturer can provide never-ending software support to its devices. Based on Android 16, One UI 8’s major update will bring refined UI, new optimization gambits, enhanced privacy and security, and more Galaxy S25 features like Now Brief to older Galaxy devices. However, many Galaxy devices will not be able to receive this next Android 16-based One UI 8 upgrade.

These Galaxy devices won’t get One UI 8.0 (Android 15)

Samsung has always been at the forefront of providing after-sales service to Galaxy consumers. Currently, the company offers up to 7 years of major OS upgrades and security patches for its flagships, allowing consumers to keep their phones for a longer period of time.

Flagships released before the Galaxy S21 FE will not be eligible for the One UI 8 firmware. The Korean tech giant has significantly grown software support across the range. However, some popular Galaxy A series devices like the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold3, Flip3, M33, A14, M14, F14, and Tab Active4 Pro are ineligible for One UI 8.

Android 15 based One UI 7 will be the last OS upgrade for Galaxy devices listed below. These Samsung devices will not get Android 16-based One UI 8, but they will continue to receive security patches for some time.
