OnePlus is all set to launch the OnePlus N6x in India on July 31, and the company has now revealed some key details about its upcoming budget smartphone. The latest teaser confirms that the device will pack a 7,000mAh battery while also giving us our first official look at its front design.
Earlier, OnePlus only claimed that the phone could deliver up to 2.5 days of battery life on a single charge without revealing its actual battery capacity. With the latest teaser, the company has confirmed that the N6x will feature a 7,000mAh battery, making it one of the largest batteries in its segment.
OnePlus N6x Battery Life
OnePlus has shared several battery life estimates based on a full charge. According to the company, users can expect:
- Up to 20.56 hours of video playback
- Up to 133.56 hours of music playback
- Up to 25.04 hours of social media usage
- Up to 11.26 hours of video recording
These figures suggest the N6x is designed to comfortably last through a full day of heavy use, with lighter users potentially getting close to two-and-a-half days between charges.
While the battery capacity is now official, OnePlus has yet to reveal the phone’s charging speed. Since the OnePlus N6 supports 45W fast charging, the N6x is expected to offer similar charging capabilities, although this remains unconfirmed.
New Design With Waterdrop Notch
The latest teaser also showcases the OnePlus N6x’s design. Unlike the OnePlus N6, which features a rounded-square rear camera module, the N6x adopts a pill-shaped camera island, giving it a distinct appearance.
The front of the phone also differs from its sibling. Instead of a hole-punch selfie camera, the N6x uses a waterdrop notch, a design choice often seen on more affordable smartphones.
The display bezels appear fairly slim, although they don’t seem significantly different from those on the OnePlus N6.
Colour Options
OnePlus has confirmed two colour variants for the N6x:
- Light Blue
- Burgundy
The company appears to have given the N6x its own design language to better distinguish it from the standard N6 while targeting a lower price segment.
Launch Date
The OnePlus N6x will officially launch in India on July 31. More details, including its processor, display specifications, camera setup, charging speed, pricing, and availability, are expected to be announced during the launch event.
Final Thoughts
With a massive 7,000mAh battery, refreshed design, and focus on long battery life, the OnePlus N6x is shaping up to be an attractive option for users looking for an affordable smartphone that can easily last multiple days on a single charge. All remaining specifications will be confirmed when the device makes its official debut later this week.
