Poco has officially launched the Poco M8 Power in India, bringing one of the largest smartphone batteries in its segment. The new device packs a massive 8,000mAh battery, which the company says can deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge.
Despite its huge battery, the Poco M8 Power maintains a relatively slim profile. The phone measures just over 8.4mm thick and weighs around 220 grams, making it easier to handle than most big-battery smartphones. It features a plastic rear panel with a full-width camera module that houses the camera system, LED flash, and Poco branding.
Stunning AMOLED display
The Poco M8 Power sports a 6.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming. The panel offers up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness, 960Hz PWM dimming for improved eye comfort, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support for vibrant colors. Protection is provided by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the phone also carries an IP65 rating for resistance against dust and light water splashes.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 powers the device
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The phone supports 45W fast wired charging, allowing users to quickly recharge the large battery.
One standout feature is 22.5W reverse wired charging, enabling the Poco M8 Power to charge other smartphones, wireless earbuds, and compatible accessories.
50MP camera and long software support
For photography, the Poco M8 Power features a 50MP primary rear camera, while an 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls. Both cameras support 1080p video recording.
On the software side, the device runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box. Poco has committed to four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, offering long-term software support.
Additional features include an IR blaster, Circle to Search, and several built-in AI-powered tools.
